Wait, wait …

The Waiter at waiterrant.net is a very good writer with stories from the trenches — the trenchers? — that put you right at home in the front of the house.

In Fancy Place,  he talks about the special hell of trying to sell a list of specials that runs to 20 or so items, none of them very good.

In Bad Day, the whole staff is waiting 90  minutes for a hungover cook to unlock the front door so they can prep for a bridal shower.

In this rant about Desserts, he tells you why you don’t want to eat dinner and dessert in the same restaurant.
